Wilwoods... What wheels are you running?
Saturday, August 09, 2008 10:25 AM
Well with us maybe able to get the Wilwoods for the rear with the e-brake I wanted to db check on what wheels everyone is running. I know I'm not going to have a problem with my SSR's, but if I wanted to run smaller wheels at the track I would like to know what everyone is running. I've see Fetter's 16" that he found that fit, but don't know if there is any other 16" that fit well over everything. So please post pic's of the brakes behind the wheels and the spec's on them if you don't mind. Thanks...

Well since I have a girl that has a Jetta GLI I know those do well for us, but hell I can't even find a set for her car for the winter let alone mine. Anyone that has those took the spares out of 4 cars to get a set, and now most are dyin' to get some they are payin' 4-500 for a set.

I researched this after that thread popped up, and the Beetle steelies should be the same as GLI (at least car-part.com interchanges those)

Landot Used Auto Parts, Inc. in Athens should have a few ranging from 30-50 each (assuming you are still at the same city as listed in your reg)

Good point, but at least you can go get a set of winter wheels

Since I'm curious what else might be out there... [x] subscribed

Well these would be going on the Toyota that I hope to have before next year, and this car will never ever see a winter or rain unless it rains at the bash.

Well there is a guy that has the bracket from the RD ver that they never made. He is looking into getting that remade for us to use. They make make a e-brake system we are going to be able to use on the same hat and rotor as the front. So lets all get in on this. I don't have a grand for the full system since the new wheels and engine are on the DD, but I would like to get the bracket to be able to do this sometime down the road. Read up on the other post on here.

I am running 17x7.5 Rota Sub Zero's with a 45mm offset. I would like to make these my track wheels and get a nice set of 18's for the street
