I'm looking into lowering my car, and I had my previous car lowered but had stock struts. It was pretty bouncy. I'm thinking about using eibach sportline springs, but not sure about struts. What kind of ride quality wouldI see with the KYB GR2s for struts?

gr2 struts are oem replacement struts which means in a few months you'll probably be boucing all over the place again. sportline springs are pretty low. (1.8" front and 2.3" rear if i remember). for something that low you need either tokico dspecs or koni yellows. if your looking for a cheap setup, you can get the eibach prokit and kyb agx struts which both of those together would run you around the same price as the sportline and gr2s. only difference is the agx with the prokit will last not to mention the agx struts are adjustable. only downfall is the prokit only lowers the car 1.4"
i dont have GR2's but i do have the D-specs w/ sportlines and the ride is great, u do feel alot of bumps and stuff in the road(as u will with any aftermarket suspension) but overall the ride is very near to stock... id say get d-specs or yellows if ur looking at the sportlines...

Pro Kit and KYB AGX's are $800.00 + S&H etc. The sportlines and GR2's are $530 + S&H.
I can get the sportlines for $175 used.

gr2's are stock replacement struts! Do not get a drop if you get there springs, you will kick yourself a few months down the road for doing that. Save your money, and do it right, you will regret blowing 400+ dollars and having to buy new struts again and an alignment! Do it once, do it right.
Thanks, I really wanted to buy the Eibach Pro System Plus, but it was said on here that it's not out yet, and expected not to be out for quite some time.

if your paying that much your getting ripped off. you can get that whole setup for about 550 shipped. hell you can probably find someone on the org and get it more much cheaper
That's the pricing on TTR's website.

Same here. Doesn't slam the car, but handling was a night and day difference from stock.
Rode in a car with that Combo. The owner said it rode great. I had to tell him to ride in another car because the ride was not what he thought.
Too many people think their ride is fine until they ride in something better.

everyone that rides on gr2s or stock struts when its lowered says their car rides great. 99.9% of those people have no idea what their talking about.
^^^^ So true. Even some guys with Honda's, i rode in their car and they though the ride was great and handled well. It was bummy and sloppy. I thought otherwise having driven in other cars with proper set ups. One test for a good set up is if the road is rough and you have to slow down to a crawl it is not doing its job. There were roads when i had my Koni and GC set up i would go down faster than most lower people.

Ma, you guys are looking for anything that looks cheap. Those are for trucks not cars.
Quote from their site:
Lowering your truck dramatically alters its geometry, and you need the right kind of shock to go along with that suspension upgrade. That’s why the suspension specialists at DJM Suspension designed the ideal shock to handle the special demands of your lowered truck.
The only real options for a lowered car are KYB AGX, Koni, Tokico (no the HP) , Bilstiens (If you want to try Mantapart).

If you still haven't gotten your suspension an this thread is still goin, I'm lowered on Sportlines & GR2's, my suspension however was purchased used with every intention of upgrading the struts. I personally don't like the ride, its not bad for me, but any passenger in the car absolutely HATES it. So that's enough to say yea its bad. It's bouncy. Mind you mine are at least 6 years going. Personally spend the extra coin and get the AGX's if ur really stuck on KYB.
