Hi,
I have an leak in my brake system and it came from the RPV (Residual Pressure Valve) on a rear brake line. It seem to leak in the middle of the rpv where the RPV seem to split. I don't know how they work, if i can split them in half. I want to know if there is a seal or a small o-ring that can be change on theses rpv or I need to change the RPV itself. I found a Pic of the RPV in another thread:
Thanks
Phil
^huh...that pic looks familiar....lol
Theres no rebuilding them as far as I know, if its leaking from the middle replace it, if its leaking from a fitting tighten it. Your other option is to either replace your whole line from ABS module to the ear rubber line or just flare the lines and throw in a straight splice.
Thanks for the info, if i want to replace it, it's a 10 psi one for a drum application if i'm not wrong?
Thansk
Phil
yeah, but you'll need a factory unit from the junkyard to fit perfect as others such as Wilwood are smaller and dont have the same fittings on the ends.
You know I need to remove mine for the neon rear disk brakes...maybe i could just ship you my old ones

Yeah, im sure you can find @!#$ loads of them from other member on the org due to the rear disc brake swaps.
I think I still have mine too....

Thanks

Hi,
I found 2 rpv under a cavalier at the junkyard. I found that you can split the rpv in 2 piece, there is 2 o-ring that prevent leak. You can change just theses o-ring and it fix the problem... Just to let know everyone
Thanks
Phil
