Could i do it in my garage? do i need anything special to do the job? I have a floor jack and a pretty good selection of tools
and before you say if i have to ask i shouldnt do it, save it, i have to learn sometime.

its actually really really simple since the tein ss is a fully assembly suspension. if you know how to take a wheel off you can swap out your suspension.
Front
-remove wheel
-pop the hood and remove 2 bolts and 1 nut from the top of each strut tower
-remove the 2 nuts from the knuckle (behind the rotor)
-knock out the 2 bolts you just removed the nuts from.
-pull out strut assembly
-install in reverse order however i do advise bolting it up to the strut tower first then do the 2 bolt at the knuckle
Rear
-remove wheel
-pop trunk and behind trunk liner remove 1 nut at the top of each strut tower
-get under the car and reach up under the car to the strut mount and remove 2 bolt from each side.
-remove 1 bolt at the bottom of the strut behind the drums.
-pull out strut assembly
-install in reverse order.
It's very easy, I installed mine for the first time on tuesday and it only took like 45 mins to do it all. Impact gun helps
wow great that sounds a lot easier than i was expecting, looks like i know what im doing tomorrow morning! Thanks a ton for the info Mike!

np. its not very hard. once you did a suspension once you'll be able to do them in no time. its nice because the tein ss is already all assembled. the biggest time waster is usually swapping mounts over to the new suspension but with the pillow ball mounts theres no need to.
one more question, i bought my SS's from FstCavZ24, and they werent marked wich were the driver or passenger side struts, is there a way to tell, or does it even matter wich side they go on?

i mean this jokingly and seriously. bring at least a friend or two and some beer. it always takes a long time the first time you do it and its nice to have friends with working cars should you need to run to the parts store.
i can dismantle my struts in 5 minutes now but the first time it took 4 hours lol.
if you have someone knowledgeable you might want to have them handy too.
other wise have fun and enjoy.
My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
ok great thanks, im tackling this project in the wee hours of the morning then. thanks for all the info guys!

theres nothing you can do about the clearance issue unfortunetly unless something else has come up that i havent seen/heard about
nope, nothing you can do about it. if they dont touch then its fine. even though its close, in theory it should never touch. do some searching in this forum and youll see this is a common problem with the ss.
ok ill try looking around. the drivers side is fine i can almost fit my whole index finger between the strut and tire, but the passenger side is super close, its not touching, but its a little close for comfort. maybe ill try and find a thin wheel spacer to move it out a little bit
