Ok, im not the smartest guy to work wit cars, but have spent alot of time observing the work... So i was going to lunch the other day and went to make a right hand turn, the steering wheel kinda felt like it tightened up until my wheel straightened itslef back out wit a clackin or shudder i guess u may say..im terrible wit the sounds and how to explain them. but i replaced my halfshaft today... and still got the same noise, i changed the hubs in november 07.. so im down to thinkin rack and pinion setup.. any other ideas before i blow 200 on this thing... my rotors and brakes are 2 days old so... thx guys btw this is a 97 z24 5 spd

My bet is that your diff is toast. Jack the front up so both wheels are in the air, leave it in gear, then spin one tire. I bet it isn't too smooth.
