I have a 2004 Cavalier LS Sport.
What do these cars use struts all way around or struts in the front and shocks in the back or shocks in the front and struts in the back???????? I'm confused.
I bought strut mount plates w/ bearings (from what I'm told) to fix my strut mount bearing issue on my car..... ........
Please help answer these questions.....

They mean struts but the description is generic since they sell many different applications so an oversight like that is bound to happen. It also says they can be used with lowering springs when in actuality they will blow within a few weeks that way. Also, the interchange includes 05.
But for stock replacements, GR2's are going to be your best option.

Its a stock photo. Yes, those are shocks on the left. Check the part numbers against the Tokico site and make sure they match. Don't ever rely on ebay sellers to provide the correct info or pics, especially if its a store or power seller.
Technically, 3rd gens use struts front and shocks rear. A strut locates another suspension member, and if removed, that member would no longer be located where its supposed to be. If you pull the rear dampers out of a 3rd gen, the axle is still located, it just looses its travel limits. But, everyone calls them struts because the spring is mounted to them, and thats the "street" definition of a strut.
