Do the 96 to 05 use the same strut tower bar?

95 to 05 all use the same strut bars front and rear. Some require small modification to fit, on an eco the bracket holding the computer has to be bent downwards a little bit, on an OHV sometimes aftermarket intakes will hit it etc.. but yes when you buy front or rear strut bars they fit eveythign 95+
those it really matter how big it is or not, would it really make a differents

see, what your trying to do is tie the two strut towers together decreasing body flex and increasing rigidity. the stronger the bar you get the more effective it will be. although, even aluminum ones do the job just fine.
ive heard the best one for actual use is the stock gm brace that came on the convertibles. ive never personally used one so i cannot compare it with my bar. i can however tell you that just a simple Ebay one will get the job done, mine was a mere $26.00 shipped and ive used it for years without issue. i actually love it, it looks very nice and does what its supposed to do. its also adjustable so you can tighten it up if you would like to see if you can get a better feel from it.
I got both of mine from Megan Racing.

Yeah I love my GM convertible bar, its even for got a tab for mounting it to the firewall as well so I drilled a hole there and obliged.
Definitely ties for my best $20 junkyard find ever, along with a mint fire gt steering wheel that went for big $. Also, even though I'm essentially stopping modding my Z24 I still plan to get a rear strut brace just for the added chassis stiffness plus its a stellar upgrade for the money like Brad said.
