Noise from poly bushings

Now that its damn cold in PA, to the tune of like 9*F, my poly bushings seem to be creeking...a lot. I havent isolated if its the sway bar endlinks, the sway bar D-bushings or the control arm bushings, but something is making my car sound like an old piece.

Can I try to work some grease in around the bushings to quiet things down? I would think poly would be compatible with pretty much any grease unlike rubber, but it never hurts to ask.

Did you remove the control arm bushings to grease them, or did you just try to work it in while they were in place? I'm not about to remove them because of noise, but I'll gladly get under there and try to work some grease around the fittings.

I was thinking of trying DuPont's teflon based chain lubricant that I use on my ninja. It sprays on liquid and dries to a nice wax-like texture. I think the stuff is great as a chain lube because it doesn't fly all over the place after application, and it would be easy to spray this stuff on all the bushings.

Thanks for the help guys!

not sure, but i always thought certain spray lubes or just some certain lubes could actually dry the urethane out?

just get a grease gun with a zerk fitting on there and squirt a good amount in there. then go drive around and go over a few speed bumps to get it worked in. and he is correct /\/\/\/\/\ some spray lubricants WILL dry out the urethane. i wouldnt chance it. just use a grease gun and squirt a liberal amount around the REAR bushing. the one that lays horizontil and is on the back of the a-arm closest to the firewall. thats the one that squeeks. should fix your problem. fixed mine.

I've never had endlink bushings creak on me. More than likely D bushings or control arms.
