What on the car stores the information about the ABS and not working? PCM, BCM, or......?
I have a wiring harness for the Ecotec motor without abs ( but possibly a PCM that was on a car that came with it) an interior dash harness that i had no idea what the car had and then a BCM from a car which i know didn't have ABS, then the gauge cluster which the car didn't have ABS, and the body harness which didn't include ABS. I have the non-abs master cylinder and proportioning valve from the non-abs car.
I just don't want that pesky ABS light flashing at me.
Pull the bulb out....that should stop the pesky flashing. If you have a hodge podge of computers you are trying to wire together from cars with different equipment, I am thinking you will need to get them all reprogrammed to co-exsist
BCM and Gauge cluster will be from a NON-ABS car. When i take the car in for the supercharger re-flash i will just have GM flash the PCM properly if i have a flashing light Issue. I just can't take the bulb out in NY for inspection purposes. The ABS harness is on the engine wiring harness. So the interior will be the same as any other j-body. Will just have to find out in time what she does when i go to start her up this summer.
