Does anyone have the gold colored rotors? Do they stay gold or do they rust and change color?
I don't have them, but my understanding is that the gold is a coating, which will wear off where the rotors contact the pads, and will eventually rust depending on the coating quality.

I had some powerslot drilled rotors, the gold was a coating, and where the pads touched, it wore off..
And if the car sat for more than a day or so, they'd rust from not being driven.
The slotted ones I have now (silver) havent rusted, and are all the same color.. I like 'em better.
The "Gold" color is plating, and will wear off where the pads push against the rotor. ALL rotors are this way.
Where the pads do not rub against will stay gold in color.

anyone try these before???
I am looking to get new rotors, have arospeed drilled and slotted rotors and they are cracking and I want something that the parts of the rotor that are not touched will stay nice and finished, the arospeeds got all rusty and crappy looking like the stock ones.

and a little more advice, most rotors that are coated will rust anyway after about a year.

Yeah my buddy just got some gold rotors on his car and it wore away right after use.
here's a question. Can you take stock rotors, and have them plated(with what i dont know, suggestions?) When i do the N/W/F swap it'd be nice to have some rotors that wouldnt rust. I may get some slotted one anyway, which should come plated(if i do that i'll make sure they are) but if i dont get slotted, could i get them plated somewhere?
