So I read the FAQ...

And I'm still confused as hell.. Strut tower braces/bars, and sway bars? I thought they were the same thing, but apparently they're not, and I don't know.. I was looking for something that I could install on my car myself that would give me a different feel for handling, and I'm not sure which I should get first, or even if I should get them all at some point. My main goal for this car is basically drag, but fun on the street too. Suggestions, thoughts... help? Thanks.

strut bars go on the top of the strut towers (the top side of the struts/shocks). Swaybars go on the bottom side of the car (bottom side of the struts/shocks).

Biggest thing you'll feel will be from swaybars. Strut bars don't do as much. Seeing as you have an LS Sport already, you have a 22mm front swaybar stock. You could either go aftermarket rear 22 or 26 (or their inch size equivalent), and this would be the easiest to install. You could also go aftermarket front (26). There's different companies out there who make different combos. You can also keep the stock front swaybar and put in aftermarket stronger endlinks (which DO make a pretty surprising difference).

As for strutbars, those are mostly easy to put in, but your biggest and easiest benefit would be to first add a rear swaybar. But plan out what you want to do overall for your suspension so you buy everything you want in the long run instead of random pieces.

Thanks for the help. Also, what you said about having a front swaybar stock, while I'd like to believe that's true, I don't know. I'm also supposed to have a chrome exhaust tip, and a front lip. Besides that my clutch fluid reservoir was already relocated when I went to install my intake, which leads me to believe that my car was modded by the previous owner, than returned to stock before they sold it, except I think they took a couple of extra things that I wasn't aware of when I bought the car. Hopefully it's still there...

Looks like you might have had an owner then that did the typical intake and exhaust and then tried to put it back to stock when he sold it. To check for your front swaybar, turn the wheel all the way (either way) and check if you have this:

Do some research in this forum regarding swaybars and what size to pick.

Swaybars are good and effective but the strutbars will do more overall than swaybars.
Strutbars reinforce the chassis by stiffening the strut towers or closing them in.
This helps to stiffen the chassis which is the backbone of the car.
With a stiffer chassis, the suspension can work to work in a linear fashion which will help the overall handling of the car.
Every major tuner in the world stiffens up the chassis before they do anything else to their cars.
Without that stiff chassis, you can't put that power to the ground, or have the suspension do it's job.

Strut bars were my first mods to the Cavy and must say, were the best bang for the buck.
They're easy to install and come in all different sizes, shapes, and flavors.
Get the rear strutbar too. That will compliment the front and help stiffen the rear.
Good luck and remember that a good chassis is critical and the keystone to a well balanced car.
