Well about a year ago or so the Dealer-ship told me that one of my lower control arm bushing was going and It was going to be a good $450 or so to get it fixed.
Well I left it for now and maybe a week ago I took it for a little drive just to get the brakes done etc well all I would hear was this loud knock when I hit a bump or something
Would this be the control arm bushing or what, also I find it hard not to hard to turn the wheel sometimes
the car is not Lowered or nothing
And the car has sat for maybe 6 months getting driven about 3 days every week just to keep the brakes in line from rust build up and to get some oil changes done every few months
Its up for sale and want everything done so I can get close to the full amount I want, but have never heard this before and it was used last winter to
01 cavy Z24
does it sound like its coming from the top of the suspension by the strut tower or down lower by like the wheels?
$450 to do the control arms!!?????
I think i prefer my $32 prothane bushings from Karo, and the 3 hrs to take them out of the car, and swap the new poly ones in.
g'luck tho
I had a clunk on a truck of mine once, only happended when the suspension was in use.
It ended up being one of my springs in the front end, had rotated itself out of the bore on the control arm.
