Would you get the springs powder coated? Will it crack? Is it worth it?

When I ordered them, I had my road magnets painted black. I like it becuase they are less noticable; no problems so far...

Most aftermarket springs, if not all of them, are powdercoated. I haven't seen them crack before, but as with anything else, the quality of the job will have a lot to do with it's durability.

powder coat shouldnt crack like paint. the powder is electrically charged to the part and you should be able to dent or break the part before the powder coat chips off.

^^ Very nice.

I'm planning on cutting up my fronts and having the case powder coated before installing the cartridges. I'm considering sending the springs out as well. I don't like the blue. Going for OEM look all the way.

Yep, the front housings and rear perches were also powdercoated at that same time. I definately recommend it.

speaking of powder coating. How would chroming springs work?

I would say you're better off picking chrome colored powder coat. Chrome is a less forgiving finish and can crack easier. There is a powder coat color that is close. Obviously it's not going to be exactly chrome, but it is quite bright and shiny.
