Clunking Noise
Tuesday, August 07, 2007 9:28 PM
My setup is Tokick D-Specs with Roadmagnet Springs on the stock 205/55/16

When ever I hit a bump I get a weird clunking noise out of the passenger rear side while the other side completely quite. Any opinions on what it could be? Bad Mount.....

I just had a clunking noise with mine and it turned out it was the Mount that needed replacing, I removed the mount and noticed there was little play even when the bolt holding it down was tight. I looked closed and noticed the center ring was a little loose due to the rubber around it wearing out. I bought new Monroe mount and the noise went away as expected.

I have the exact same problem with my D-specs/Road Magnet setup. I love the setup besides the little squeak when I hit a bump. I've been told numerous times its bad strut mounts. I might try replacing them sometime because I cant stand the squeak/clunk its embarrasing.
