i've had a "ebay" strut bar on my car now for about a year... and just recently switched over to the OEM bar from a 98 vert (2 bolts to the firewall) and assuming the OEM one would be stiffer, but it's not, the front end feels loose... any opions on OEM vs. Aftermarket for stiffness/Quality... BTW the car is on Tein basic Coilovers/Progress rear sway bar/ and the stock FE0 suspension, so no front sway bar...
only thing i can think of is the fact that you can adjust the ebay bar (if you can?) if you did it right it pulled the strut towers in just a hair and IMO that helps a bunch.
idk tho, thats weird... ive always heard the gm bar was the shiit.
thats what i thought too, and yes it is adjustable... also aluminum, and a bit thicker and straighter than the OEM one...
listening getting ready to buy one or the other.

just get the ebay one, i can vouch for it definatly working, and working well if adjusted correctly.
hell, you can get the ebay one for CHEAP, and you can find the gm bar in a junk yard for usually even cheaper. buy them BOTH and see which one you like better. after all, theres always somebody out there thats going to want the clean looking stocker.
no i haven't bolted the bar to the firewall, but either way, the way it is now it MUCH looser than the EBAY bar... you get a big sway/loose feeling at any 30+ speed with the OEM bar... therefore i have to get my ebay bar back.... swapped it off a chick i know with a 98 vert...
