DSS axles & N-W-F brake conversion question
Tuesday, July 17, 2007 12:32 AM
Hello all I have a question, I'm doing the N-W-F front brake upgrade soon and I want to get the DSS level 3 500hp axles does anyone here know if the bolt pattern on their hubs will matchup with the rotors for the N-W-F swap? I went to DSS's website but they don't show the info I'm looking for and when I went to contact info they have a message " sorry no longer accepting email". So I was just wondering if anyone here has the DSS level 3 axles?

The hub is not part of the axle. You're asking the wrong question. You need to ask- "Will the outer CV of the DSS axles work with the bearing on the NWF swap?".

No. The DSS axles are meant to be a direct fit for stock bearings. So, if you need to change the outer CV of the stock axles for the NWF swap, then you need to change the outer CV of the DSS axle too. You could probably custom order them with the proper outer CV and make it alot easier on yourself. You should still be able to call them if they don't accept email.

Thanks much James, I sort of figured that but since they supply you with a different hub when you buy the level 3 axles I wasn't sure, in any event I called them today and explained that I am using the entire knuckle etc from a 99 GAGT he can make the level 3 axles with the larger end needed to fit the splines in the hubs.
