I have the whole shock and strut set bought, and it has been sitting in my garage for like, 2 months now, and now i need to take it to the next level.
I don't want stock springs, and i hear that the KYB GR2's are capable of handling up to 1.2" drop? So are the ST suspension springs worth while?
.. any other suggestions for springs for my KYB's? Maybe Progressive Suspension?
Thanks guys!

GR2's are stock replacements they really cant take any drop... You could try it but its not recommend at all.
Also KYB AGX's are rated for the 1.2 drop I believe.
GR2 - no drop
AGX - up to 1.5" drop
Koni Yellows or Tockico D-specs - anything over 1.5" drop
Hm, the sticky at the top says that GR2's can handle up to 1.2", and the AGX's are for more.

the only reason that claim 1.2" is because they are slightly stronger then stock. No matter how you slice it they are not meant for lowering, they say 1.2 becasue they are a better quality stock replacement and they can sustain a small drop fr a short amount of time, they will last longer then OEM but they will not last.
I just installed the ST springs on my g/f's '02 and left the stock shocks (they were in good shape and i dont feel like replacing them yet). The ST's ride great, not a drastic drop at all. I would highly recommend to someone only looking for a slight drop. Any lower and you'll explode the stock shocks, these work fine with them. Regardless of what people say on here, they are not too low for the stock shocks.

please do not tell people they can lower on stock struts. yes it is possible but it is very very stupid. the stock struts can barely handle the oem springs. putting lowering springs on them will only wear out the life of the strut much quicker.
I think ill chance it.
I bought the suspension so long ago, I just want to put it on.
If it breaks, so what, i got the whole set for 150$ on ebay.

you ask for sugestions, you get sugestions, you ignore it all and do your own thing. Your @!#$y suspension is not meant for any drop end up story. You know this, you ignore this, thats what makes you a dumbass.
I wish I could find the thread form a while back where some dumbass did the same thing, asked for advise, ignored every single knowledgable persons advise did his own thing and then posted back a couple weeks later about he narrowly missed a bad wreck when the cheap @!#$ he put on his car made him lose control in a emergency panic situation.
People do this all the time, post up asking for advise, they get the advise, and ignore it because they're to cheap to do it right.... they are all dumbasses, hating or not your in that same boat.
GR2's + a new set of stock springs = bliss.

I probably should have mentioned that this is a temporary setup.

its always a temperary setup.... if thats the case why not hold off and spend the money one to it right once, rather spend the money twice for the same end result
So what kind of springs do you put on KYB GR2 ????
stock.
if you want to lower the car you get AGX's, D-Specs, or Konis. Or you can buy a complete coilover kit liek the Gravanas, Teins, etc..
I had gr2's with h&r springs and that lasted about 3 weeks now have agx's and h&r and love them
ryan i dont know why you even bother. i dont even try anymore. i give out the info and let them do as they please. if they dont want to take the info thats on them but they cant come back here and say they didnt know.
