Binding with air ride.

Lately I've been noticing my Air ride seems to be almost binding when coming down.

The passenger side front is my problem...

I've raised, and lowered it a few times and can't physically see anything binding up, but could it be the actual strut? Thats where the noise seems to be coming from.

i have the same problem with my driver front it sticks up. i have a leak on that valve right now and the pressure will leak out but the car wont drop unles you drop lots of psi at once. thats why i want to get rid of mine and make a custom kit. god if i only had the time to put my car down

I hear ya.

My theory is that the strut rod is binding. But yeah. I have to drop more than 20 psi at a time to get it to go down.

Im sure all the dragging and @!#$ don't help But hey, like the Thorebeck Brothers say..... DRAG & DESTROY!

I have the same problem with my fronts, but I'm pretty sure it's the control arm bushings that are binding when you drop the front. Even with the poly bushings in, they just don't move very smoothly with that much movement. Remember, they would never see that much travel without air.

so basically, if i sprayed some lube on them, than it should function better for a few minutes. That would probably prove your theory.

only one way to find out. will report back if it worked after work.
