I am not sure if this has been answered before but I have no idea. Why can't you just use the from assembly off a cavalier or sunfire? Is the set up that different? I am thinking of doing the conversion I just wanted to check first becsaue I have no idea myself.
Thanks for any input
Ian
The front brake caliper has no place to mount on the rear. If you were to make up a custom bracket or something you could mount the caliper. Also the front brake assembly has no method of making the E-brake work. It would take some more modification to enable the E-brake. It could be done, but there are much more simple methods. And if your going to go through all that why not just do the Neon swap. Its been tried and tested.
Additionally I think that if you put front brakes on the rear you would have too much braking force available to the rear and it might lead to oversteer (I think this is when the rear end slides out)
Someone else want to confirm this?
yeah man its completely different
Alright thanks alot guys. I just wanted to check you know. I take it you have put the neon kit on?? How much time does it take say from start to finish? Is the post on the conversion just the best way to follow it or is there any other steps that need to be done before completing it? again thanks alot
I ordered the kit and am waiting on the parts
but yeah read through the thread. Thats the best source for information. I think I read it can be 4 - 6 hours or more depending on your skill and if problems arise. There are no steps to do before starting other than making sure you have everything you need and all the appropriate tools
