Valve stuck open?
Thursday, June 14, 2007 2:20 PM
I was at a local show and i layed the car out came back 30mins later car is raised. So i checked gauges and it has 90PSI in rear driver side. So i lowered it again and sat down sure enough air in the tank was going into that bag.

I presume a valve is stuck open? How do i fix that?
Thanx
Jon

It most likely has something stuck in it... a piece of debris or similar. It needs to be taken apart and cleaned out. Or something else could be wrong too though.

what jason said if you have the easy street which i think you do just take off the part where the solinoid is and the rubber diaghram is there and gaurente there will be something in it, i had the same problem with one of my bags it was falling apart on the inside and throwing @!#$ in my vavle. takes you like 5 mins to fix

Could either be a valve sticking or something wrong with your switchbox if you've got one I Know mine tweaks out every once in awhile

possibly a sticky switch but most likely the valve has @!#$ in it

like said you could have a wire grounding out somewhere causing the car to raise or the stuck valve.

on the easystreet valve, take the solinoid off and then remove the 4 bolts on the top. once thats off you'll see the rubber diaghram and you can pull it out. get a q-tip and clean it was warm soapy water then dry it off and place it back in.

use rubbing alcohol not soapy water

also since its your lift valve thats sticking how old is your tank? do you have a water trap?

the contaminent is most likely coming from the tank i would pull the system apart and make sure the tank is not rusted on the inside, as this could cause the tank to blow apart and thats not a pretty sight.

Thing is like a year old and has been used hardly ever. Car sits most of the time. I have about 1000k/ms on car since air was installed.

that dont mean you didnt have moisture in your tank for it to rust when you let it sit does it have air in it

It sat all winter with NO air in bags or tank. And was stored.

id still clean that fill valve and see what it does and also empty the tank and see if it has brown water coming out.

empty the tank. and just empty it at the bottom and you will see how much moisture comes out. im on my way out to do the same thing. i have a leak up and down on the same dang bag so i hope its just debris in the valve.

So letting the air out the tank and that bad it will still hold the car up when i take the valve apart correct?

thats why i said just let the air out because if you start taking off the valve it will blow right out of your hands. i just took all mine apart and made sure they were good and it only took like an hour to do all 8
