Quick question.... I have just found out I have to go on a 1800 mile road trip and I was told last wed that my strut mounts and strut mount bearings were toast... It doesn't pull hard, but the right front is binding up a little bit I can tell. Are these easy to change? any special tools? Spring compressor tool? I need an alignment afterwards I know... This should all be ok on the trip or should I do it before I go?
You do a need spring compressor tool.
Its not hard to do, but I would be willing to be anything if you live in the salt belt, your going to need an impact gun for the two lower bolts.

when you go to buy new mounts get the 95-99 style. they are much better. this way if the bearing goes again you can replace just the bearing. the 95-99 mounts are a 3 piece mount that can be taken apart and the 00+ mounts are all 1 piece mounts so if the bearing goes on an 00+ strut mount you have to buy a whole new mount.
