Tokico vs... Tokico

So I was just looking up all the different suspension options I have open to me and I kinda got stuck... I want to get a set of really nice adjustable shocks and struts and I narrowed it down to 2 choices.

Tokico D-SPEC Adjustable Shocks/Struts (DSP-1):

and

Tokico HP Performance Shocks

now I checked out the company page and there wasn't too much info on either of them except the whole "latest technology" BS. They both seem to have little difference between them and yet one is about half the price of the other. Is there a reason why one might be more expensive then the other? Or is it just good marketing? So in other words, which set do you all think I should get?

if you want adjustable struts get dspecs. hps are oem replacements and are not adjustable. also they are not made for lowering

ok ..I have spoken with 5 different people at Tokico..The HP struts can be used with up to a 2 inch drop..As long as you cut the bump stops..And they will waranty them..I have done some reserch and found a few people running the and have had no issues...The only thing I have been told is they are firm riding..The dspec is better due to the fact you can adjust it..Not many people I have spoke with really reajust there struts after they have been installed...Unless you are using the car for on the track..Also Tokico also told me the same thing if Iwas using the car for track use go Dspec if not Run the HP...Cant see why the would down grade me but who knows..I have ordered the HP Struts and they should be here in 3 weeks..I am running a 2 inch front drop and 1.5 rear drop..I will let you all know how this set up works..If it sucks I will tell you but hell for the price of them if they work then great..Later..Jason

tokico hps have a package that comes with springs. it lowers 1.4 front and rear. I would suggest getting the package only cause it can't give tokico an excuse if they do blow. i have the package currently on my car and my rear left strut is blown. i'm going to ask tokico if i can upgrade to dspecs when i call them in for the replacement warranty.

D-Specs are the way to go.

^^ I agree, Because when you get in the car initially, if you dont like how she feels, a few minutes of ajusting and its like a totally different car. This way you can set it to how you like to ride, and youre not limited.

Im not sure what the difference in price is, Id pay it.

If you go with any of the Tokico setups, let me know... I'll get you a good deal.

We've sold a TON of the D-Spec struts, and just a few of the HP struts. Also a couple of their spring/strut sets.
Everything seems to be well liked from the Tokico line
