Adding switches to AutoPilot?
Monday, April 09, 2007 7:25 PM
Im going to post this here, and email Easy Street to see what people have to say.

Does anyone know if you can add switches to the Digital Auto Pilot set up? I like having the buttons, digital display, but getting the front to drop at the same time is well... sometimes a challenge when trying to drag.

So what I'd like to do is add a Front up/down and a Back up/down switch to my current set up.

What I am afraid of, is it tripping the ecu, or the digital read out. some how. Don't want this messing up on me.

i bet you could with diodes

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

Well I was hoping to be able to do both. But the ECU would need to be programed to do it. And although I didn't ask, I'm sure its extra money I don't want to spend.

True.... I can always take the brain out, and run a switch box if I wanted to. But i'd have to get gauges to do so.

you cant always get the digi gauge and you might be able to use your senders. just a thought

If the Autopilot sees the pressure drop, and it is set to a certain Height, won't it try to raise it back up on it's own?

it would if set for auto pilot.

I leave mine in manual, so that I control everything.

So why not just get solenoid valves and a switch box?

I the valves I have would work...

But i'd have to buy 3 new gauges, and ditch the brain, and controller for the auto pilot in order to have a traditional set up...

Maybe further down the road I will, but for now... The auto pilot stays. I paid for it, so I am going to use it. And I doubt anyone would be looking for just the controller, and brain with no wire harnesses.

unless I have a reasonable offer, no. But it has to be 100% what I want...

There for a while I was considering a lot of things, now I am just seeing what I could get.
