There seems to be a burning rubber smell coming from my drivers side rear tire, i think its the drum brake, it really only smells when i have used the brakes to slow down from highway speeds.
When i go to work i have to use the highway and my work is just off the highway so i park right after i get off the highway. Thats when i notice the smell the most. I had a good smell around the other tires and there is no smell.
I didnt think brakes smelled like rubber though, the only other thing in there that could make the smell is the exhaust.
Anyone know what it could be?
Could be misadjusted and dragging. Is it hot as hell as well?
I accidently drove around with my parking brake slightly engaged, same symptoms as you described.
