i ordered an easystreet kit and it says it comes with 40 ft of 1/2 inch airline and i am wondering after you run airline from the tank to all four corners how much line is left over appoximetly?cause i'd like to run line from the dumps to the side of the car also, and from the tank to under the hood where my airbox used to be .has anyone put their compressor under their hood before?
if you can fit a 5 gallon tank and compressor under the hood.... i'll shake your hand. lol
I don't think its been done before, but when it shows up, i guess you can find out.
I thought at first, you were wondering if anyone made a belt driven compressor for the Cavalier. (which would rock if they did)
Did you just order the basic kit, or upgrade to auto pilot? I know YellowRimedOne and I ordered the Auto Pilot upgrade when we placed our orders.

i think he is asking if he can mount the compressor under the hood and run a line from the compressor to the tank in the trunk. not put the tank under the hood.
but you wont have enough line to do all that. you have just enough to run to all 4 corners. you wont have enough to run one more length from engine to trunk. just buy more air line off suicidedoors.com or something
i ordered 10ft of additional 1/2in hose. the ones if talked to said that 40 ft is just enough. even jason said that easy street should give us 50ft of the hose to be on the safe side.
so ya just order more hose for anything special. it can go for just under $1 a foot give/take
i recieved 50 ft of line with my kit(wierd i guess) and i still have a bit left over. but regardless, if u have the compressor under the hood, and the tank in the trunk its not air line you need to do it, its the braided hose you would need to be lengthened. you can buy a bunch of them to do so, but i personally wouldnt. it would be a bit expensive to do and i dont see the value in it. i wouldnt want a hot line like that running under or around anything that can catch fire.
From Easystreet Warranty Bulletin:
"The compressor must be mounted in a protected area (free from splash & debris). The compressor should NOT be mounted near ANY heat source.
The compressor should NOT be mounted in the engine compartment."
"Failure due to using the products outside the recommended maximum operating specifications, will NOT be covered under the warranty."
that sucks i forgot you needed the braided line to go from the compressor to the tank and i wouldn't want to void my warranty.i just don't want the compressor noise in the car .i'll just have to go with plan #2 witch is get rid of the back seat and build a sub box there that seals the interior from the trunk then i won't even need the pankake tank then.because right now the sub box is over 4 cubic feet and it takes up the whole trunk
you could always put it under the trunk. its outside the car you wont hear it as much in the car and its not that bad in the trunk with the seat up honestly
yah but i always have my seat down anyways to feel the wind from my subs so i think it would be better with my box in the back seat and then that way i can run 2 tanks and 2 pumps for more reserve air.one question though where do you put your dump valves?i want to put them inside my car and run a line outside the car for the spent air.so i guess i am going to have to get mabey like 20 ft extra 1/2 " line.
yea youll need extra line i had extra line laying around to do what you want and run a line off the dump valve out the car. i like it better its not all loud in the car and everyone heres it haha
just order 100 ft of 1/2 air line. it s will be alot left for ya
