My old setup was KVR rotors and pads. My new setup is powerslot rotors and hawk hps pads. I seem to remember that my old pads had better bite and also had less dusting. Yet everyone else claims hps is one of the best street pads for bite and dust.
Anyone care to agree with me?

Nope, I love mine.
I have the powerslot and Hawk pads too, and they are great. Even when cold, they stop extreamly well. I've never noticed any brake fade, and I've driven pretty hard at a track with them.
mine were virtually dustless. i put a TON of hard miles on them and loved them, thats what im going to keep with for as long as i own my car
They do have ALOT less dust than the EBC pads. I don't have any experience with the KVR stuff to compare. I love the initial bite and there is no fade, but then again, I have an H body setup on my car.

Nope.
Hell, these HPS Hawks throws out less dust then the OE ones.

Where can I get those rotors?

No disappointment. I can't compare with KVR, but I had the EBC Greenstuff and EBC slotted rotors, and I think I like the Hawk+Powerslot I have now. I picked these up as a package from Gravana Tuning.
Performance is great compared to OEM and even Greenstuff. Dust is what I would call acceptible. I have yet to get them to fade on me, even while autocrossing. Probably not a good road-race pad, but hey, I don't road-race. They're very quiet also (EBC's would make lots of noise when they heated up).
I have ~24000 miles on the set. 1 full season of autocross (5-6 runs every month Feb-Nov is a season for me). I still have some pad life left, but I will be replacing the rotors again when I replace the pads as I have some surface cracking and discoloration (probably got them kinda hot). I got 2 sets of pads out of the EBC rotors, but they were looking really bad towards the end. (First set of pads on the EBC rotors was OEM material, 2nd set was Greenstuff).
I may try the cryo-treated Powerslots this time along with Hawk HPS pads, hopefully I'll get more than 1 set of pads worth of wear on the rotors. <- sure sounds like I could benefit from a big brake upgrade eh? 'cept none that I know of fit under the stock '00 16" wheels, and definitely won't fit under Fiero 15x7"'s that I race on.

Sleeper style, they don't see it coming that way.

I have the Baer Decela cross driller and slotted ones with mine. While first breaking them in i thought i had quite a bit of dust on mine. But it seemed to be less after they put their gruve in on the rotors and they STOP the car very nicely. No complaints here.
once you stop with a car with the fbody setup youll will never want to go back!!!
^^ so true, the Baer's set up is basically made from f-bodies.
Love mine! Never want to go back for sure!
^ u mean y-bodies.
anyway, if i could fit the fbody setup, i would but i cant under the stock 01 16's. also, i have done a little mountain run on these and DEFINITELY got them to fail/fade/overheat.

i would stay away from cross drilled unless you are just using them for daily's not for auto x. since i auto x im going with powerslots because they all cracked from all the abuse they took.
I have Brembo driller rotors with the Hawk pads and love them!
