AGX question...maybe a problem?
Thursday, December 28, 2006 10:20 AM
So I have been running AGXs since september. Two months ago I experienced Strut Mount issues and replaced them but since then my AGXs adjustment screws on the front struts fail to come back up. I used to push them down and then turn to the level that I wanted then they would come back up but that is no longer the case. They just stay down and I dont know if the struts are functioning properly (adjusting when I turn the knob). I was wondering if anyone else was experincing or has experienced these issues. Any help would be appreciated.

when you changed the mounts, did you check the struts to make sure they could compress, and return? I would contact AGX about the adjustment screws on the front if they are hanging, and returning like they should.

They have to be right in place to pop back up. Mine got "stuck" once, just played with it for a while and it popped back up.

The struts themselves are fine and operate normally. No nosediving or anything of that nature that would indicate strut failure. So I contacted KYB and it was determined that the spring under the adjustment screw was out and they are sending me replacements. Dont exactly know how to facilitate that repair but we will see what happens. At any rate even with the spring out it still adjusts the settings on the strut (thats what they tell me anyhow). I'll post some more info when I get it.

They should still work just fine. That popping back up just locks the adjustment.
