If by any chance any of you who still have the stock brake hoses on are taking them off or replacing them can you can a picture of the inside of the brake hose end fitting for me?
Example:
I've got an 03 Fire and I just recieved a second order of Russel SS hoses and they do not match up with the brakeline flare. The inside of my stock hose ends look different than the inside the Russel ones I recieved.
(The picture is of the inside of one of the Russel lines I recieved) I seem to be the only one who has had this problem and I don't want to have to have my brake lines cut and reflared just to fit these. So if anyone has there stock line sitting around or has it off for any reason can you please take a picture of the inside so I can see if it's the same as mine, especially 03+ models.

All brake lines are the same for 95-05 J-Bodies. Hell I think all GM from like the 80 through now are the same if I'm not mistaken (which I could be, so don't quote me).
hmmm this is the second time that this topic comes up. the fittings that i used (and that I *think* matched my stock lines) and that (when i installed them) matched the stock flare on the lines was a M10x1.0 bubble flare fitting. i did some research and found out that GM since the 80's or so has also used bubble flare fittings on all their cars. so im curious why this is coming up again, because someone has also posted a couple months ago that said they also had inverted flare fittings, so I'm curious if you could post some pictures of your stock line, now that you've posted the russell picture.

That's M10x1.0 Double Flare fittings... Bubble is the older way with only a single "flare".
when i took off my stock lines, im pretty sure i saw the top one, which is a bubble flare.

Yeah this is the second time I'm asking this, lol, but this time I'm pretty much just asking for pictures. I do remember you trying to help me out the first time but without pictures I really wasn't able to explain the problem that well. I know that the russel lines definitely are wrong and this time the 2nd set they sent me is exactly the same as the first so they don't work for me either. So I called up a local partstore and asked if they had any OEM brake hoses for a 2003 Sunfire for front and rear on hand. They said they have then in stock so I'm going to stop by this week
(probably this week)so I can take a picture of what the stock ones look like inside so I can show you guy what I mean. I would take the ones off my car and take a picture of those but my car is my daily driver so it's a pain to have to take the hose off and then put it back on and bleed it just for a picture, plus it's been cold lately and I don't have a garage to do it in. So I'm just gonna take a picture at the part store if they look like the brake hoses on my car. If they look different and are the same as the russell lines then someone must have cut and reflared my brake lines differently before I bought it which I highly doubt. If they are the same at least I will have a picture to show you all so you can see the difference for yourselves and maybe be able to help me out better.
