Anyone else ever have problems with
Gravana? Back on
October 2nd, 2006 I ordered the
Hawk Pads, Russell Lines, and Powerslot Rotor package from Gravana Tuning.
Gravana's Brake Package ....I recieved the package with everything maybe about 2 weeks after I ordered it.
No problem. ....I installed the brake pads, and the rotors.
No problem. ....When I tried to install the brake lines, they were the right package, but the wrong lines.
Problem. So I call up Gravana to see what they could do about it, and I speak to a guy named Chad, who tells me that they will send me out a new set of brake lines along with a prepaid postage to send the original mistake ones back.
Problem fixed right? That's what I thought... So I'm waiting and waiting and I think about 2 weeks go buy and I call back because I haven't recieved anything yet. The guy Chad tells me that they got caught up with some projects for SEMA and I'm thinking
"That's not my problem. They have my money. Where the f@#% are my lines?" A week later I get an email saying that plans have changed...
Instead of sending me my new lines with the prepaid postage for the wrong ones and exchanging them with the delivery guy with the original package I recieved, that they are instead sending the prepaid postage out alone which I would have to send them the
"wrong" lines back first and then they would send me the
"right" ones.
So again I'm waiting... I finally recieved the postage and I sent the brake lines the same day that I recieved the prepaid postage. A few days later I recieve an email saying the new lines were shipped, so I'm like finally they will send me the right lines and I can get this over with.
It's already going on 3 weeks and I called Chad at Gravana Tuning again last week and asked
nicely what was going on because I haven't received my lines yet. He tells me he hasn't really done a good job at keeping records on what went on with my lines and doesn't know exactly.
So he tells me he would have to call me back. That was Thursday I believe. Still no call back. So basically I originally placed my order with Gravana, on
OCTOBER 2nd, and they sent me the wrong item and here I am now, it's
DECEMBER 2nd, I still don't have my lines yet...
Has anyone else had problems with Gravana? This is my first order from them and so far I am very displeased...

Every time I've ever worked with Gravana I've had a great experience, they've always been responsive and on top of things. When I ordered my type Basics the first time they let me cancel my order no problem. When I ordered my Addco sway bars and Addco made and error on the shipment Gravana fixed the problem for me, and quickly. Everything else I've ordered, and every question I've ever had has been answered in a prompt manner.
Two things I noticed in your post that I'd bring to your attention. First, it's not Gravana's fault that Russell, the company that makes the braided lines, mislabeled their package. In that regard I'd lend them a little bit of slack, they can't help it. As far as the time frame that this has taken you, you really can't complain about their service when it takes you 2 weeks to follow up on any of your requests. You have to remember that without an open order to be filled there is no paperwork that they have to be following up on. You need to make sure they are getting calls and e-mails until the problem is solved.
Gravana is a great company to do business with. Both Jim and Chad are great people, they work hard and they get busy, it happens in every business.
I'm not saying that it's Gravana's fault that the lines were wrong. It is indeed the fault of the manufacturer who packaged the wrong lines in the wrong package, but I still think that 2 months is long enough for Gravana to have sent me the new ones by now.

Jason we've spoke on the phone about this. I have many many phone calls into the warehouse that was suppose to handle everything, trust me when I say I'm following up on this daily. From now on I will call you at the end of each day to give you an update even if I don't have any news. We're very sorry, but I sent you my last one I had in stock or i'd just send you one from here. We still haven't received our stocking order yet.
I've ordered the same package except I didn't buy the ss lines. I've had no problem with the company, and ordered afew parts for my cars from them before with 0 problems.
i dont want to get into it, but lets jsut say there was a delay in recieving a product and then an exchange for a non broken one.....and lets leave it at that

i dont know about your experience, but i know every time i have orderd something from them(alwasy been from Jim) i got it almost exactly when he said it would arive and no problems at all.. but i can see definatly stuff getting backed up during the sema show for them... no its not your fault but they also are probably running like chickens with their heads cut off at that time of year between orders and the show

i just got done dealing with gravana and i had a problem with my bank and couldent get the stuff shiped because of address problems...but i was deff taken care of!..chad helped me out soo much!...without him i dnt know what i would have done...im deployed with the airforce and there is no possible way i could have done anything to fix the problems i was having..gravana in my opinion is a great place to order from...i recommend it to everyone
