Are you looking for springs that are decently priced with excellent quality? Then check out Road Magnet Springs.
Road Magnet springs were created in 2003 to solve problems inherent in other aftermarket suspension springs. Road Magnet springs are engineered, manufactured and sold by a spring manufacturing company that has been in business since 1906. Since we have been designing and manufacturing springs for racing applications, it was an easy step to become partners with Team Lexus and help them win the 2002 Grand Am Cup. With all of the racing success stories that we had, we were asked to solve problems with typical lowering spring kits. We heard that springs were too stiff, too soft, too low, not low enough, and uneven appearance from side to side and front to rear. Every model that is offered has gone through vigorous testing to achieve the best possible ride and handling while lowering the vehicle height as much as possible without compromising safety. The vehicle will sit straight and look great since our manufacturing tolerances are very tight. Road Magnet was created as a result of conversations with car owners. We encourage you to email us or call us with your questions, comments, and suggestions so that we may continue to produce the products that are the best.
We have just redesigned our Cavalier/Sunfire springs within the past 3 months and are very happy with the result. If you have any questions or are interested in purchasing a set of our springs please check us out on our website

interesting, doesnt seem like a bad price either for the drop. nice to see new stuff coming out.
You are correct. We are aware of such high prices for quality items. We work hard to create springs with quality and aren't happy until they are the best they can be.
I did forget to mention one thing about our springs though. We also offer custom powder coating for orders. All our springs come custom blue unless otherwise specified.

sounds like a really good deal, cant wait to hear some reviews about these. thats funny you mentioned the issue about powder coating. ive seen people on here not buy good quality springs because of the color but rather go for a crappy set of springs because its the color they want. i just think its funny that people use color as a determing factor on buying springs
Progressive or linear? What's the spring rate at ride height?
2.2" is one heck of a drop, going to wear out other stuff. And definately a drop for looks not handling.
Make any coil-over springs in less than 450#?

yeah, I'd like to see something with a little less of a drop actually. there's no way I could drive my car with a 2.2" drop in Phoenix.

I talked to Road Magnet at SEMA. Hopefully they will send us dealer information.
Jarett I probably had more or around the same drop in PHX with a body kit and no problems.
To respond to your inquiries...
Our springs are mostly progressive. Our Cavalier/Sunfire springs rate is 220lbs per inch.
As far as height ride, we currently sponsor a kitted Cavalier. The owner has no complaints with the height nor handling. We constructed and installed the springs at our shop, and test drove them on the local roads (which I might add have many potholes etc) Even the entrance to our driveway is a great obstacle for testing these springs.
And just an fyi, our springs come with a money back gaurentee. If you don't like them, you may return them.
FstCavZ24 (M62 ECO) - You spoke with Mark correct? You are more then welcome to send him a reminder

The example you showed on website doesnt look like what you described. The back of that cavalier still had some wheel gap, and those didnt look like 19'' wheels. Looked more like 17''s. But it does seem like a good price. But like BaggedCav said, Id like to see some reviews first hand.
Email sent.
Jusdging by the low profile tire those look like 19's to me, or atleast bigger than 17's.
As I said in my first post, we have just redesigned our Cavalier/Sunfire springs in the past 3 months. The picture on our website needs to be updated. We should have our new Cavalier featured on our site soon. We have sponsored Team Lexus and are in the talks of possibly sponsoring Team Allstars as well as Club Scion. I am not sure who on this site has purchased our springs, but our sponsored Cavalier is not.

That rate sounds good.

I wasn't saying that is was bad necessarily. Just that experience shows that anything past 2.0" in a J and you start to wear heavily on the ball joints, bushings, and especially CV joints. J's are econo boxes and we know it, not the spring's "fault" at all. Also optimal ride hight for handling is around 1.4" to 1.6" drop, hence the many available in that range. Lower just returns you closer to a stock-height-handling.

Anyone has to love that, a company that stands by their products.
I have to admit that when I read your first post I thought you guys were just another crap spring re-brander; but the simple fact that you've been highly responsive and got the most ciritical details right has changed that first impression a lot.
Added to my list of 2007 purchases assuming oil pan clearance after an engine swap. I have some pretty harsh roads out here (mainly farm country, RR crossings and 2 poorly maintained bridges, no potholes save my driveway) so if these are as you say, I wouldn't mind drafting a review.
I like the drop on the yellow cav that is on your website. How low was that?
it says it right on the site 2.2"

Yes but why would you try and sell something, then show a picture of something else totally different?
Thats like Nintendo saying their game is faster than PS3, but showing a pic of the PS3. Much like BC said, its bad that some factors of people buying springs is the color, but its also same about the pics with the springs ON the car.
Im not bashing this AT ALL, I must admit this is a good deal though and If I could see more pics and reviews then I would def consider buying a set. IMO
Is that 245.00 for each spring or for a set of 4? I am in the market to buy springs right now. But I do not want a 2.2 inch drop. I currently have the eibach sportlines and am going to go with the eibach pro kit. I think you should offer 2 sets of springs. There seems to be 2 different types of spring buyers. Ones who want a drop all for looks and ones who want a more sporty ride and better cornering. The first will want a low drop like what you have the rest will go for the eibach pro kit with the 1.4 drop all the way around. I think to be sucessful you need to offer both springs. The idea of being able to get them powdercoated is great!
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
We have minimized the knocking sound in the rear end that is common with other lowering springs on the Cavalier. Watch for our kit that is being developed that will remove the knocking sound completely. Details will be available soon.
this kit your talking about in the thread
is it the new kit that you stated on the website wit no knocking sound?
what struts do you recommend with you springs?
george
its 245 for all 4.
as for struts w/ that low of a drop you will need koni yellows or tokico dspecs

Chad, it's more of entrances/exits into gas stations and the like. the ones that are on my normal routes (to work, to my mom's house, etc.), are really steep and I know I would rub entering and leaving.
I also have a small issue with parking too close to curbs sometimes. LOL
don't get me wrong. there's probably a really decent market for Road Magnet here. I'm just posting up what I would like to see. I wouldn't mind getting rid of my "hand me down" Goldlines. LOL

Not that the drop is considered slammed for Konis (and probably d-specs too) so any damage from bottoming out constantly (inexperienced driver) will not be warrantied. This is an unlikely problem, especially since most people would realize they're bottoming out constantly and want to avoid that. But I thought I should mention it. AGXs should be able to control that spring rate as well, but the warranty would definitely be voided instantly.
I have an idea, I'm on Koni Yellows and Eibach Sportlines.... how about you send me a set of springs, I'll install them (I'm a tech for a living so its not a big deal) ride em for a couples weeks or a month or whatever. I'll give a review about what i think of them if I'm happy with them I'll keep them and send money to pay for them, if not I'll send them back but either way you'll get a real world review, not the opinion of a car you sponcer. If your interested let me know.
Now that would be good customer service.
