Veers to the left
Thursday, November 16, 2006 6:19 PM
Well I just have an alignment done to the car and it had this problem before. When I turn the wheel to the left, the spring will pop and when i straighten it out, the car will slowly veer left when i left go of the wheel. But after that, if I turn the wheel to the right until it pops again, then the car straightens out. I dont know what to search for. Any help or ideas. Thanks and I am kinda new to this Jbody forum, so I have tried to search before this post.

Thanks,
Matt

Strut mount is bad on one side (or both).

Or the strut itself.

It sounds like a spring is being unseated so it's likely a shot bearing or something preventing it from turning properly.

First step is definitely to inspect the mounts and ensure they're in good working order.

Don't cv joints also pop when they're bad?

Oh thanks. Yeah I will actually check that out tomorrow. Also, is there a list on here anywhere of websites to buy Jbody parts. Other than like Gravana and GM.
