Hey guys, I'm trying to explain how stock struts aren't safe to this ignorant kid on our local forum, and I remember a long time ago, someone posted a story of crashing their car and blaming it on the struts. Anyone have any idea? I've been searching for 15mins and came up with nothing.

It was actually my friend Brian. His escord, lowered on DZ springs if I remember right (was a few years ago now). Anyway, insurance company said he "comprimized the integrity of the suspension" with the crappy springs (it rode terrible too), slid off the road in the rain (going to fast too), and refused to pay the full coverage amount. I forget what exactly he got, the car rolled on it's roof fairly gently, but was still totalled, so he got the salvage value.
