Check your brake lines, they may need replacing.. Did you close all the bleeder screws?

How did you bleed the brakes?

would u suggest braided steel lines? i had my dad pump them 3 or 4 times then hold the pedal down while i loosened the valve then i closed it after about 3 or 4 sec. we did that process 4 times per front tire.

Try opening and then closing the valve in a much shorter time span.

1. Open bleeder 2. Push pedal down 3. Close bleeder 4. Pedal up
No pre pumping, do not let the pedal up while the bleeder is open, close the bleeder as soon as fluid stops coming out as fast (about 2 seconds). You probably sucked as much air back in as you bleed out. Did you bleed the rear as well? What year is it, might be time to flush some of that fluid. Fill in your registry.

Empty your brake fluid resevoir of old fluid and top up with new fresh fluid. Start bleeding the brakes from the right rear drum and stop once you have clear fluid coming out. Then move to the left rear and repeat. Then the right front and finally the left front. Brake fluid will absorb moisture over time and can cause a soft feel in the brake pedal. New fluid in the whole system is a smart move. Make sure that you continually check fluid level in the resevoir so that no air gets in the lines.
