I bleed em with the car off and a budy in the drivers seat.

Takes all of 30 minutes, 45 it you take it slow and easy.

Jackalope reccomends doing it with the car running, so the power booster does all the work for you.

Off. Fluid should flow slow, smoothe, and gently. Besides, I wouldn't call pushing the pedal down "work".

if your bleeding the brakes, might as well bleed all the old fluid out and add synthetic

I do it with the car running as it makes pushing the peddle a whole lot easier! Been doing it this way for almost 20 years now and I've never had one single issue at all. Can't tell you how many hundreds of cars I've done this way too. The old mechanic at the Exxon station I worked at in high school showed it to me and it made perfect sence so I've stuck with it.

You can do it with the car off in the end you get the same results with the brakes but you also get a tired leg.
