I have a rear strut bar on my car and now the car is very nose-heavy and understeers. Would a front strut bar help? And no, full suspension is out of the question.
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.
I wouldn't think just a rear strut bar would change handling that much.
Anything on the front pretty much helps correct understeer.
correct me if i'm wrong but i was under the impression that rear suspension work would add oversteer, not understeer. hence why people run large sway bars in the rear and no sway bar up front to help rotate a fwd car better when doing autox (for instance)
stiffening the rear in most any manner (swaybar, damping, etc) causes oversteer...
the car has understeer in stock form, you prob just feel it more cause the rear is more consistent (which is what strut braces do) and the car as a whole i a bit more consistent in being an understeering vehicle.
if full suspension is out the question, add a front bar, and then a medoum rear swaybar like a 19-22mm... its not a full suspension, but its a half full one
if full suspension is out of the question why do anything at all ???
when i added my rear strut brace , it didnt change much if anythig in the back
rear sway bar , and front strut brace make the most difference in the suspension
