Hey guys,
well, i took out my reds and installed the koni yellows in the rear. BUT the koni yellow shock rod is bigger then the rear upper strut mount hole(bushing). So i have to drill it out with a 15/32( i believe) drill bit. Now, these are still my stock 95 rear mounts, but i was wondering if others had to do this with the konis yellows, or are the newer year rear strut mounts have a bigger shock rod hole.
So have others had to drill out their rear mount to have the shock thread fit thru, and if not, what year is ur cavy/sunfire so i can get that year of mounts.

You have to drill it out... I think that's part of the instructions. I know Pat did.
mm. they didnt say that in my instructions.

If i had known i would have bought new rear mounts. Cause now i do. His was a 99 tho wasnt it?
Still doesnt answer ther 2k+ question with yellows...although i'm pretty sure i know what the answer will be.

I don't think so. I think the rear mounts are all the same, but I'm not positive on that.
Rears are the same 95-05. Front changed design, but not fitment (rod hole is the same size all years).
the years are all the same. you have to drill out to 1/2". Adam has my drill bit.
