I have not heard of that brand name of spring. Please provide a link to it.

Also, running drop springs on stock struts is not good at all. You do need aftermarket struts to handle the springs.

My friend is using those on his cav. I hadn't heard of them before either. They have been on the car for 2 years now on stock struts and hes had no issues. The ride isn't bad at all. It is a bit bouncy on stock shocks, but it works. As for comparison, i'm using Eibach Sportlines and Koni Reds and I love it. My ride is firmer but it feels more controlled and handles like a dream.

The Evotion brand was made by Toucan (Ractive, Eurolite, etc.). Evotion was their premium "serious" brand, and was generally pretty good quality. I have never riden on them, but I've seen them uninstalled and they look to be pretty good quality.

Here's a link to the springs: http://www.cardomain.com/item/EVOEV208

Evotion stuff was typically overbuilt (and sometimes overpriced). I don't think that Toucan makes the Evotion brand any more.
