$600 bucks for daily driver
Thursday, May 04, 2006 8:24 PM
Alright I have an 02 ls sport as a daily driver and I just got a bonus of 600 bucks, I want a drop for my car. I want it to be slammed to the ground, i dont know of any brands, prices or where to even purchase a set. I would probably like a set of adjustable coilovers, any input would be great

Doubt $600 will do it, and do it right, unless you can get a set of AGX's really cheap. I'd recommend the Eibach/AGX combo, springs are about 125+, with the struts being the big priced set, being $400+ for a set, better ride than coilovers IMO. If thats what you wanted, I've heard good things about RKSport's Coilover set, but they are expensive.

You should know that your car shouldn't be slammed and driven around as a daily driver.

600 bucks won't get you far.

Maybe you, too, should read up on THIS

get the koni sport kit it'll lower your car a little and give you nice firm struts. Car will handle awesome.

Ok, i guess i shouldnt have said slammed to the ground, but i do think that i want more than like an inch or inch and a half, cause reading through other forums it seems like that is what other systems drop

what other forums? for cavs?

different cars drop different heights. also, suspension is very different from car to car, brand to brand

i dont remember what forums, but they were for cavys. I guess what i want is to lower the car so you can actually notice it. I dont want a suspension so i can go auto cross racing, i just want it to be noticeably lower and have a half way decent ride

you're going to sacrifice ride quality for lowering it.

But there are setups that have a 'decent' ride.

get agxs and a prokit and you'll be happy. if you want it to be slammed to the ground then bag it but its gonna cost much more than 600 bucks

A 1" drop is noticable.

Koni Sport kit would probably be perfect for you. It's a little lower than the Prokit/AGX combo and not much more expensive I don't think.

I don't drink beer, but if want you can bring it over and I'll help you out.
I've got air tools and all, so it should take less than two hours.
Or if you've got tools I'll help you out too. Just PM me when you've got your setup.
