okay got the kit in the car to do some testing on it, ive got some leaks to work out wich i will do tomorrow. but the main question is i had the air up to around 80 psi on all 4 tires yet none of them had moved any, didnt move up or down. the car is on jackstands so all 4 tires are a foot off the ground, wouldnt 80 psi cause the wheel to lower moving closer to the ground?
also does it really take that long to fill the tank, i had also used my compressor to help fill the tank up quicker are most of you running two compressors because it just seem like mine emptied out in no time.

I thought the same thing when mine was on stands, put it on the ground and let her dance.
when its on the stands the bags are strecthed all the way out so when you put air in them there not gonna move like oragne syn said put it on the ground
sndsgood wrote:if thats the case that has me a little worried because on the stands my tires are about 1 1/2" from my fenders, if thats stretched all the way out i will never be able to get it on the ground because my jack would be crushed under my kit.....
If I am understanding you correctly: before you drop the car, throw a 2x8 (or larger if you desire) block under each wheel. Then raise the car up all the way on the bags. Let the jack down, and you now have an extra 1 1/2 inches of room to get the jack out.
If you need to, stack two 2x8.s for extra clearance, just make sure you cut the top one to be shorter so you dont drop 3 inches when you roll off the blocks.
I can't wait to see this thing slammed
thats how i had to do mine when i let it down the first time but if you put the bags at 120 or above you should have no problem getting your jack out at least i dont
I had like 140 in each and i cant get the jack out i had to use 2" of wood under each tire.
if all goees well, mine will be coming off the jacks tonight(*me prays)
cant wait to hit some switches!!

Leave it on pieces of wood to play with untill you know what switch does what..
thanks for the tip!!
thats the one thing im worried about, but at the same time, i have no bumpers or anything on it, so i guess i cant kill it too much, lol

i'll definatly give the wood blocks a try then, just will have to work on the leaks this week to make sure i dont have any, i'd hate to come out the next day and find my car sitting on the body kit and having no way of getting it off the ground lol. was just so dissapointing going out last night hooking it all up for testing and hearing the sounds but not seeing the wheels move at all, makes u wonder what u spent all the money on lol
also since im here asking all the newb questions. will the compressor automatically shut off once the tank reaches 150 psi. im pretty sure thats how it works but not positive. think i'll have to pick up a gauge for the tank sometime soon and maybe a kill switch for the compressor.

^^ive been wondering the same thing, but in thinking about it, thats what the pressure switch is for i assume. since the power of the compressor goes to the pressure switch on the tank, and is then grounded. then the pressure switch is grounded.
but.....hmmm...... in typing that, just made me think........wheres the power coming from then?? if power wire from compressor goes to pressure switch, then both are grounded. wheres the power?? lol. i confuse myself sometimes.
guess ill have to read the directions again, lol

What i did was ran the wire with the fuse to a switch coming from my battery all the way back to the swich on the tank. Thas where the power comes from.
Also when checking for leaks put it on the ground fill with air atleast 140 in each bag and then test all fittings. I have put my car on stands and back off atleast 5 times through the install each night to make sure the kit wont go crunch.
thats what im thinking easy, that when the pressure switch sees the 150psi it will cut the compressor off, but since i had leaks and had an empty system it was just running the whole time and i just worried about burning it out, its supposed to cut off when it gets hot to keep from dying but i just seem to have seen allot of posts and talking to people who have talked about burning up their compressors, so im just being extra careful i think.
i'll have to fill the thing up then try and put it on the ground, hopefully i'll get the tank hooked back up to the car tonight and get it filled up with air and hopefully it will hold thru the night and got softball thursday and got to pay attention to the wife friday so i maybe able to get it on the ground this weekend lol. pulled the tank out last night and tightened all the fittings on it so it will go back in the car tonight. i only get about an hour or so a night during the week to work on the car so its a slow process lol

depending on the style pressure switch you have it doesnt get a ground wire. It should be power in power out, I think it grounds through the tank.

^^^good deal. i should be hooking up my compressor tonight. ill post back with how i get it goin
only things i need to do is wire the switches to the valves, and the compressor to the pressure switch, and i should be good to go(not including leaks, lol)

Eazy-you got that switch box diagram? If not leave your email ill mail it to you tonight after work. Jon

just twist the wires and throw a piece of black tape on there nothing permanent because its just easier to pull the tank back out when u find your leaks.

All i did whenh i found leaks was take the solenoids off with that lil clip they are held on by.

is it just me or are those little caps a bitch to get off? im completey mangled all of mine when i work on my valves.
sounds like you guys have lots of problems with your air im glad i didnt have issues like this. i put mine to gether and ran air line and switch wires and it was done i did my install in 2 hours and was out crusin right away.
yea for probably just the install but i bet you spent alot more time getting it ready. theres no way it only took 2 hours from the very start to finish
