I've been looking forever to see what they look like or if they have a template. everyone seems to have the 13" fronts, and no one has the 12's. i emailed baer for the templates, and they sent me the rear 12" template, even though the guy swore that they were the fronts. anybody?

sorry, but the front and rear templates (the rotors are calipers) are WAY different.

Yeah, the front dual piston calipers are much bigger than the single piston rear calipers. No way you'd use the same template.
Just get the 13" kit. What do you think you're driving? A Yaris??
no, a stock wheeled (by choice, dont ask) cavalier. i will one day have 12" brakes......

i love my wilwoods 12.20" rotors
but stock 16's wont fit unless you got about a 1/2" spacers , or the caliper will hit the spokes

Have you looked at SSBC's 12" disk brakes? Thats what im going with.

I think that would defeat the purpose for him. Don't the 12" SSBC brakes require 17" wheels up front? They use a much bulkier caliper than the PBR ones Baer uses.
so the 12" Baer fronts will fit the stock 16" wheel? I always thought all BBK's needed bigger wheels?
^^They say that to be safe.. Ive seen guys run 12" brakes with 15" steelies..Just depends on how big the caliper is. My buddie has 13" brakes on his GTI and his winter wheels are 16's.

Baer has NEVER built a 12" kit. Simply no demand.
I'm thinking about talking Wilwood into making a smaller front kit to run smaller wheels. I'm interested in going down to some extremly light weight 16's.
I wish wilwood would make a rear disk conversion.. Anybody know if thats in the works for them?

Fell free to order and see how that goes.

I'd like to see if the call I made to Baer literally this week was wasted or not.

Gravana and I are working something out right now using Wilwood parts to create a kit. We are using my rear setup as our basis to go off of. When Wilwood created my kit they used a mix of production pieces that are available.

ender wiggin - the problem is, it is assumed that the 12" kit does not fit the stock wheels. i know rsm makes a similar kit that does fit SOME of the stock 16's, so its debateable. the only problem is that i personally have NEVER seen a 12" baer kit. aaron @ ttr says that he personally has seen one. technically, it should be the same as the 13, just half an inch shorter in radius.
fstcavz24, you say they were never made, but baer has listed them forever. i've just never seen one. also, the problem with the wilwood kits is not the height, because i believe that it will clear 16" wheels. the problem is the spokes. if you get some aftermarket rims, you'll probably be fine. but with the stockers, the caliper is way too wide. i've researched through ALL of wilwoods calipers, and there's no other caliper thats "thinner" widthwise that could possibly change everything. also, you cant backspace the rotors anymore, because they'll hit the spindle.
as for rear wilwoods, i heard they were scrapped. but, since wilwood offers all of their products separately, i think it would be very easy for a second hand source to create a bracket, and make everything work just dandy. its been done before, example, precision brakes company does that.
ahhhhh the debate continues
im currently also looking into elio troyano's custom setup that is also very similar to the baer kit.......like i said, the problem is calipers.

hey chad , our brakes will fit smaller than 16" wheels
ive got a 16" enki rim for a spare right now
and karo had 15" wheels on his slowfire
also i think a 14" rim will clear , providing you have spoke clearence
