Yep. Good stuff. Check the registry for people who have them. They all like them.
That price sounds reasonable. 800 to 850 are the most common. Gravana has them for $830. Can find them on eBay too.

I love 'em, nice and firm, but a responsive/great handling firm.

Wouldn't trade them for anything else though, besides the SS setup .

I too agree, however if I would have had the chance I would have gotten the SS's so I could tune the handling to my liking

Hey guys, im about to order these basic dampers.. I have a 97. I know I need the 00+ mounts, but it also said I need the s/p's. Is that spring perches?, and do they come with the 00+ mounts?

Thanks.

Well I just bought the Basics, and went to Advance and bought monroe strut mounts for a 2002 cavalier and it came with everything i needed. I'm not sure about this spring seat, but I put the coilovers together in my room and then bolted the whole thing on the car. Not a problem one.

Thanks Nick for that info, if you don't mind. How much did the mounts cost you? You bought 4 right?

yeah I bought all 4 from advance auto parts. The fronts were $45.94 a peice and the rears were $39.88 before tax. Honestly though, If you are going to buy new mounts all around consider getting the Super Street's. It will only be about $200 more for them and you dont have to buy mounts. Just a suggestion. I love my basics, but i could have got the SS for a little more.

You will Love them!! I was bored so I just drove around. I can't get enough of them. They ride sooo smooth. Enjoy them.

P.S. When I first put them on, they were quite firm, almost rough and I thought "great, these are too stiff for me." But the have smothed out and are amazing. I'm happy.

Good news.. I can't wait..

Although Im sure anything is better and smoother than my setup now.. I have Goldlines with Gabriel VST shocks/struts. They've held up great for 2+ years.. But their hell over bumps lol.

David, if yours rears aren't making any noise I wouldn't worry about those. Only the front mounts had changed in late 99, 2000.

If you can't find 2k+ fronts anywhere for a good price, PM me, I can link you to a place to get them for just under $100 shipped.

Hey there, I got some Bomz coil Overs, and I'm having a problem installing the fronts. Does anyone know if you need to disassemble the strut mount bearings, or?

Any help is appreciated

not trying to be an ass, but get rid of those cheap coilovers. you'll have nothing but trouble with them, they are absolute junk
