Well On the way home tonight I heard a slight tick in my RF. Got home and looked and the inner axle boot is torn. Not split but torn, so I must have caught somethin in the road. I called a auto parts store and they dont have a listing for axle's for the ecotec only the base. My question is, are the axles the same?? I'm pretty sure I remember some one saying they are but just want to make sure.

Good luck finding them. I have gone to three places to find the thus far have been unsuccessful. The difference bertween base and everyone else is the addition of ABS (I also do not have ABS). So getting a regular one will be fine, you will just get the ABS tone ring on the end.

If you find them let me know mine is going and I am resorting to calling a junkyard looking for a low milegae one there.

Napa, Murrays and Autozone are all under the assumption that the auto one is also good for the manual, even when you show them the part.....

They're all the same. Almost all GM cars have the same boots on the CVs.
