Power Steering Fluid Low
Sunday, March 26, 2006 10:25 AM
I have a 2004 Ecotec Cavalier, and I noticed lately that the turning was kind of rough, and doesn't feel good at high speed or low speed. I check the power steering resevoir and it was almost non-existent. Any ideas as to why, or is this a common thing?

Any help is appreciated,

i had that in my 97, turned out a hole had worn itself through the steel braiding over the power steering line, from rubbing against something moving(possibly steering), and power steering fluid leaked all over my engine and completely dried out the system.. there was a lot of smoke too... it was a simple fix but now my car will make the "power steering fluid is low" sound occasionally. i think i need to bleed the system... but thats beside the point. take a look down by the steering for any rubbing and holes or something.
good luck man
