My dad just made solid strut mounts for my 02 cavalier. There is only one problem, after he put them in, he realized that his set up allowed for no deflection. I read an earlier post on a custom GP, and he is looking for a set of spherical ball berings, but in the mean time, does anyone know where i can find a complete set of performance strut mounts?
solid ou t of what? you best bet is to get the ones that come on the tein ss.
its made of steel. do you have a link?
jsut search for tein ss. i cant remebr their site sorry.
its okay, we were reading, we ordered a sperical bearing from MSG (catalog) FYI, and its gonna be a totally custom set up. Its a great set up, we fabed it out of a chrysler 300M hub. the bearing will be in this week hopefully so i can get my car on the ground again...... if anyone is interested i have pictures of machining everything
Yeah, post up the pictures.
okay, ill get some tonight, its actually a really interesting install, totally one of a kind, hard to explain. see them tonight
how difficult is it to install new strut mounts front/rear. granted you have access to air tools.
I can do all four in 1.5 hours (including beer breaks) with the right tools. Need a spring compressor too.
