If you have never taken off the drum before there is useually a little metal ring around one of the lug nuts, it's a little hard to see but take a pair of snips and cut it off and you're good to go.
The little clip things like he mentioned or sometimes they just get stuck to the hub and you need to smack the sh-t out of it with a hammer to get it off. Put the lug nuts back on so you do not damage the threads and they hit in between the studs / lug nuts with a hammer and then try. You may need to do this several times.
DO NOT HIT THE DRUM ON ITS EDGE THIS WILL WARP IT.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
If it doesn't move at all, take a hammer to it as Jackalope said.
If it moves just a litlle, the shoe has worn a gove in the drum, use screwdrivers to push in on the shoe (between the drum and the backin plate).

Good. That was going to be my first question.
My guess is that its one of those clips, since its a newer car. But, it could be what CTS said as well, or both.

LMAO, I had a buddy check my brakes once, and before he checked the backs he said "Have you ever worked on drum brakes, or watched anyone?" I was like "UM, no, why?" Him "Well, it's going to look like I'm breaking your car, but it'll be just fine" :::whacks a few times with the hammer:::
