strut bars.......

alright, so here we go........

i search "front strut bars", and found nothing, so i figured i'd make a new forum.

i have a 02' cav, and whenever i search ebay for front strut bars, the sellers always list it as 95-02, and others as 03 and up? will a 03+ one work on an 02? i wanna get the dc sports bar, but it 4 the 03 and up?

i would think not w/ every seller listing it this way, but i thought i'd ask?

also, any opinions as 2 which ones u have?

i think the 03 and up cars have a problem with the computer being in the way of the bar.
but any bar made for 95-03 should fit none the less. just got adjust some things

I helped install a vibrant front strut bar. we just bent the computer bracket down a bit so it could be installed.

it was on an '02 eco. the issue with the '03's and up is that GM mounted the ECU off the passenger side strut tower. some bars (because of the way they are shaped) will hit the ECU while trying to install them.

it should work. I don't see why it wouldn't.

The 03+ only came with the eco, so bars for those years are made for eco engines.
Bars for previous years may or may not fit eco engines without bending or relocating the ecu, it just depends on how they designed them.

On a side note: Stop typing numbers instead of letters. I'm sure it takes you longer to find the "4" key than it does to type "for". Not to mention is makes you look unintelligent.
