Ive been looking around for some rear struts for my 96 sunfire. It's been making the "loose lumber sound" for a while and ive gotten tired of it so i have finally decided to get a replacement for it. On ebay i've found some gabriel rear struts for about 100 dollars. Just wondering if anybody knows of where to get some replacements for any cheaper. Thanks in advance.

Isn't the sound from the mounts?

My g/f's 97 Sunfire had the noise. I replaced the rear shocks and mounts, and the noise was gone. I got the parts from NAPA. I think they had the overall best price.

Sounds like mounts to me. Bad struts don't usually make sound, unless they've spilled all their fluid. Even then, they make a different sound.
