any one happen to know what it is? I know im not the only person with a bad wheel sensor. its the front pass side for an 01 2.2 cav
Don't know the GM part nubmer. Any auto part store will have it though. Be prepared for it to cost about $80.
hey man do you know if its the actual sensor or is it just the harness that is cut
i had the same thing about a couple years ago and couldnt figure out which wheel it was so i took it into a shop and they told me which wheel it was and wanted to charge me like $300 for a new sensor. so i took it home cause i definitely didnt have the money for that and looked at how hard it would be to fix if i got a new one, and i noticed hey this plug is cut
turns out the plug was cut right at the harness so i couldnt solder it back together. come spring i went to the junkyard and found a harness for like $1 got home soldered it in and its worked perfect ever since
Whats up people?
its just the harness anyways. but i gotta find one and hav e noe idea where to get it besides the dealer
i know the only thing is im not at all familiar with the area and its january. just a bit chilly a nd wet. if anyone can point me to a pick and pull within 50 miles of zip code 12550 im all about it because i can use some interior pieces too.
What type of symtoms are you getting? My abs is acting up too mine is kicking in at 50 to 30 kph when it' not suposed to.

The acting up in the lower speeds thing (20 to 40 mph) is common symptom of dirty sensors and dirty sensor connections. This is the time of year when they seem to really act up. Try cleaning the sensor and the connections to the sensor Trevor.
How do you clean the sensor? Do you have to remove it?

I just got a cloth soaked in rubbing alcohol and wedged it inbetween the sensor and the CV joint teath that it reads. Rub it around good and get as much gunk off it as you can. It's a hall senor, works by those little teath making a magnet field as they move, then it picks up that field. If there's anything in between to disrupt the field, well you get the idea.
lol oh no trust me i need the part of the harness.
ok heres the story
I noticed that i had some wires hanging kinda low on my pass side near the wheel. Well being january in new york i wasnt climbing underneath it to fix it so i took it too the dealership. Oh forgot to add the aBS light came on too so i think it had dragged the ground and rubbed through. they tell me that i need a whole new ignition harness and its gonna run me about 2600 to fix. I tell them to just get it up out of the way and ill fix it. so i finally get a chance to fix it and the plug is cut off and gone. Thank you chevy dealer.
