HELP FAST BAER BRAKES
Sunday, January 15, 2006 2:08 PM
Can someone tell me if the front calipers are held in at the top by a pin. The stupid muther@!#$s who had my car for 14 months took all kinds of @!#$ off my car that didnt need to be taken off for bodywork. When I push in the caliper to where it needs to go it appears that there is a slot way where a pin would go. If anyone has high res pics of the brakes and calipers(esp. wildweasel) Id appreciate it if you posted some side shots. I installed these brake over 2 years ago and Ive got a 12x12x24 box full of bolts that I need to find out where they go.

And heres the fine mess the POS hacks left me with after saying the car would be done when I picked it up.

I can say I just dont feel like going into all the time since people IM me everyday asking for updates on my car and whats going on. Truth is I havent really touched the car since I got it back. Working 70 hour weeks again at work so there is no time for the car, thats why its going to another shop in February, a shop about 20 mins from my house so I can keep tabs on whats being done. Just waiting on Blue to get my pricing and shipping info on my Toyo Cavalier firewall clip.

You can go to any Autozone and buy a new pair of pins and clips for $5 to $8.

The calipers are the same as used on any late 80s Vette or 96-up Cobra Mustang.

Well when I got the car back the front brakes were off. I tried bolting the wheel back on tonight but with the new 19s hit the caliper. Drew up some spacers in AutoCAD and having them cut on my coworker's buddy's CNC plasma cutter this week. Picking up some longer studs tommmorow after work. I was gonna run spacers anyways cuz of the widebody, now I really have to no matter what.

So a word to the wise, Axis Spyders will not fit with a 13" Baer upgrade.
