So i saw an add somewheres for Dropzone struts and shocks coupled with the dropzone coilovers....i think they were priced around 300-400 US for the entire setup.....

Wondering if n e one has heard reviews on the dropzone shocks and struts, seems like a good deal price wise...

nothing personal to anyone, but.....it has to be you, in no manner shape way or form is a bouncing suspension good. never has been never will be unless its a competition to challenge a kangaroo or a wallaby.

drop zone is crap when it comes to our cars, their struts are rebadged gabriel VST's shipped from venezuela.

drop zone coilovers are crap. plain and simple. most people who praise em usually have never had a decent suspension besides stock to compare with.

anytime you see coilovers on ebay for 40-60$ you do get what you pay for, cheap lightweight crap, with cheap springs that are high spring rate solely for the purpose of trying to prevent sagging, but usually doesnt work. cool for showcars and all, but wears suspension fast and handling (when you hear people say bouncy, bounce, bouncing....thats your first clue its crap) is piss poor really, especially without struts to control the extremely high spring rates.

heres a slight bit of logic for anyone to think on....

a decent set of struts are close to 400$

a decent set of SLEEVE coilovers are around 350$

a decent set of springs are in the 200$ range...

do you really think coilovers from ebay, or coilovers that cost 40-60$ or so are anything of quality? simple logic. it has more parts than lowering springs do, so it should be higher, naturally...

doesnt matter bounce is bounce, whether its an inch or a foot. overall a smooth ride and bouncy doesnt really occur. thats kinda a cop out statement really. if you hit a pot hole and really notice it then, your still bouncing around on smaller bumps. theres no question about it.

when you bounce you basically have taken a step backwards when it comes to suspension.

the whole point is to keep the tires in contact with the road and NOT bounce around, and when you add upgraded stuff it should do even better than stock did.

so if you went from stock which did ok, to somethin that did worse, granted you may like it, but its like living in alaska and making clothes with holes in the rear end.

you might think it feels and loocks great, but function wise, you;ve taken a leap backwards.....

I have ground control and Koni's not bounce just firm ride. As even't said.
Bounce and good suspension in the same sentence shows the suspension is not doing its job

even with something like ground controls and koni reds or yellows, the suspension should soak it up granting the struts are set to handle the springs.

i thought the same until i kept upgrading and upgrading. i started with arospeeds back in the day.

I had Eibach pro kits with stock strut and the intrax on stock struts until i rode in a car with a proper set up i realize how my rode like crap. When i bought my coil over i made sure i got Koni's to go with it. I will never do suspension with out struts and i will never buy cheap after seeing what people have been through and riding in a car with cheap suspension.

Good suspension cost money. For a coil over set up and struts if you are paying less that $500 for coil over and struts you are going to get junk a good coil over and strut set up is going to run you at least $800-$900 at least. With spring you will spend at least $600 depending on spring and strut you go for.
